天津市河西区职工大学学校简介

天津市河西区职工大学（以下简称“河西大学”）是一所公办全日制本科院校，前身为天津市工人大学，于1978年由天津市人民政府批准成立。学校位于天津市南开区，占地面积近200亩，建筑面积近30万平方米。目前，学校有教职工600余人，在校本科生近3000人。

学校历史悠久，建校初期开设有外语、文史、理工、法律4个专业。1982年开始扩展开发，逐步形成今天的办学特色和优势。目前，学校开设有外语、文史、理工、法律、教育、体育6个本科专业。

外语专业是学校的传统特色专业之一，目前开设有日语、韩语、德语3门外语。日语是国家教育部批准的“211工程”重点建设专业。韩语是国家教育部批准的“2011计划”重点建设专业。德语是国家教育部批准的“2011年度国家重点建设高水平大学公派留学项目”重点建设专业。

文史专业是学校的传统特色之一，目前开设有中国语文、历史2门文史。中国语文是国家教育部批准的“2011年度国家重点建设高水平大学公派留学项目”重点建设专业。历史是国家教育部批准的“2011年度国家重点建设高水平大学公派留学项目”重点建设专业。

天津市河西区职工大学（TianjinHexiVocationalUniversity）isafull-timeundergraduateinstitutionundertheadministrationofTianjinMunicipalGovernment.ItwasformerlyknownasTianjinWorkers'UniversityandwasapprovedforestablishmentbyTianjinMunicipalGovernmentin1978.TheuniversityislocatedinNankaiDistrictofTianjin,coveringanareaofnearly200muandabuildingareaofnearly300,000squaremeters.Therearemorethan600facultyandstaffmembersatpresent,andnearly3,000full-timeundergraduatesenrolled.
