介宾短语可以充当句子成分，在句中可作定语、状语、表语、补语。介宾短语是由介词加上后面的名词、代词或名词短语组成，用来修饰或补充说明动词。
1、作表语：I am at home.
2、 做状语：He stayed at home all day.
3、 和动词一起组成一个新的动词： fall原本是“落下”，但是介词into组合成 “fall into 养成”，
如， He falls into the habit of us。
短语介词指由介词+介词、介词+名词、介词+分词、介词+动词、介词+形容词、介词+副词等构成的短语，常用的有：according to, along with,in front of,by means of,in spite of,together with,with regard to等。
